What kind of UV Light is used in HVAC Systems?
When the UV lights are installed in HVAC systems Ultraviolet germicidal irradiation lights are the kind currently being used to kill COVID-19 in tests being conducted around the world. Currently, the CDC warns that lights are more or less effective based on the amount of time the contaminated surface is exposed to the light. Since HVAC UV germicidal irradiation lights are on day and night in most cases, making the dose considered extremely high.
