Our Process for BIM Modeling / CAD Drawings
At Danbury Winair, we have an entire Engineering Department that understands CAD drawings as well as the BIM modeling process to help our clients understand and utilize their sheet metal mechanical drawings.
We’ll start by providing an estimate for the sheet metal fabrications our clients need, utilizing their specifications and requirements for their project. We’ll then provide an honest price for the job and when accepted, we’ll then collect CAD files from the client.
AutoCad MEP Fabrication Technology
In order to access and make adjustments to our clients CAD files, we use an innovative AutoCad MEP Fabrication Technology to enhance the architecture of your building with easy to follow BIM modeling. BIM Modeling allows our designers and engineers to offer you better, more accurate estimates and a more realistic interpretation of your building systems.
By using this program, the Danbury Winair team can automate drafting tasks creating precise construction documents that are easily shared, with the entire project management team. Contractors, architects, and engineers can work together seamlessly, collaborating and coordinating their project.
REVIT Engineering: Built Specifically for BIM Modeling
We use Revit software that is used specifically for BIM (Building Information Modeling). This software allows our team to design and manufacture a higher-quality product for your project. From start to finish we can ensure that every detail is accurate which will give you the satisfaction of knowing that your finished product will exceed expectations.
The Next Steps in the BIM Process
Once approved by our engineers and by our client, we’ll then inform our sheet metal fabrication shop of the new project on hand. In our 15,000 square foot facility, we’ll be able to carry out your custom fabrication.
We can fabricate all kinds of metal as well as specific kinds of ductwork. This includes:
We can fabricate pieces from 24 gauge to 26 gauge up to 18 gauge. Our sheet metal shop will then assemble and put together the parts of your custom piece. Once completely assembled, we’ll then disassembled the fabricated ductwork to then reassemble upon arrival to your location. Each part of your custom fabrication will have a label on it with a number. By having this in place, our team will easily be able to assemble your piece once again.
